Hope everyone has a really wonderful Happy New Year.
I was just wondering, do any of you foodies make New Year's resolutions for your blogs? I made a few for mine. When I first began this blog, I thought it would be mostly about how to write a cookbook and get it published, with a few really good recipes thrown in from time to time and an occasional cookbook review. Then I started visiting a lot of foodie blogs and decided to post more recipes.I've strayed from my original purpose and plan to get my blog back
on track in the new year. I'll still be posting recipes, but I'll also be taking you on a journey of writing and publishing a cookbook. Don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet, but there's a cookbook in the making that you all can be part of; I'll give you details on another post. I'll also be featuring a few guest bloggers who have written
and published cookbooks and they'll be telling you their story.
Speaking of cookbook reviews, would any of you like to review my new cookbook, Foods and Flavors of San Antonio, on your blog? The book will be published in March. If you're willing to review the cookbook on your foodie blog, make a recipe from it and blog about it, my publisher would like to send you anadvance copy of the cookbook. Please
visit Foods and Flavors of San Antonio
for more information.
So, I'm really curious. Did you make New Year's resolutions for your foodie blog?

Happy New Year Gloria. It's been wonderful to bump into you, & I have Val to thank for that. Resolutions...hmmmmmmmm...get more organised, clear the clutter & complete my navigation bar (for which I have to GET HELP!!!.
All the best for therefreshing new book; I LOVE the flavours! xoxoxo Deeba
I can't wait to see what is to come for your blog. It is already so awesome!!!!
That sounds great, Gloria! I can't wait. I'm not making any resolutions concerning my blog, just to try to keep it tidy. I am taking a writing class so I hope that helps me to improve my writing. Happy New Year!1
I look forward to your renewed focus on how to author a cookbook and the guests you'll be presenting.
I've only been blogging for 5 months and just recently re-read my introductory post. I was fairly pleased that I stayed true to my mission statement. In the new year, I'm going to re-design my masthead/logo and I'll be introducing a new event called A Culinary Trip Around the World. Happy New Year to you and yours!
Happy New Year Gloria. It has been a pleasure to read your blog and your successes over the past year. My resolution for blogging is to enjoy life more and spend less time blogging.
Gloria, I already know your new book is going to be a success. I keep telling you, in my next life, I want to be you. :) All kidding aside my friend, I truly admire your talent and your convictions to stay true to your calling. We all learn from you at every post. Have a most wonderful New Year.
I DID make resolutions on my blog last year:
1) expand our palates, use new ingredients
2) post every day
3) cook at least once a week with no recipe
4) buy white plates for my photos
I got 1 and 4 done! I realized number 3 was a ridiculous goal for me, as posting when the time is right or I have exciting things to share is, of course, more appropriate. And I only recently started trying to cook without recipes.
Look forward to seeing what 2009 holds for you Gloria. Happy New Year!
My new resolution for the blog is more healthy food and not so many sweets!!! It seems my sweet tooth over powered my blog. :)
Happy New year to you and yours!
Gloria, I would love to review your book as well, if you so choose. I'm looking forward to your suggestions on writing and publishing a cookbook. This is something I've always dreamed about--along with having my own food show, lol. Happy New Year, my foodie friend.
Happy New Year - and, re: resolutions - notsomuch, more like "Goals". Resolutions tend to give me an easy out if I fail. Let's just hope that my goals can be broken down and are attainable :) Still need to reflect on it this weekend.
BTW - will check out the San Antonio blog because, definitely this gal is interested.
Hello! I finally read the last paragraph ~ sorry I've been a bit distracted. If you are in need of one more reviewer, I would love to do that!! Hope you have a great week!
